But you work with the materials you have. I will say that the Assistant Manager Jackie did do what she could, as did Dave who ran the bellman operation. They do have a rap music pool party on Sunday though if you are into that sort of thing. I could complain about the night valet and the long waits, but suffice it to say, that if you are business traveler, this is not the hotel for you. With one more day to spend in El Paso, I went to the new quiet and professionally run Marriot Courtyard a few blocks away where the rest of my party was staying. So to accommodate Andy, I rescheduled my meeting, and canceled my flight, backed my things and left. Andy at the reception desk told me that the allotment of the late checkout times was taken and I had to leave the room by 11:00. I would have been out of the room by 12 at the latest. Well, the straw that broke this camel's back, so to speak, is when on Monday, I asked for an additional hour for a late check out because I had a short but important meeting with government officials at 10:00 am. When I arrived that night (after a long day working), they had put the same sheets on one of the beds, and left the others, along with the pillows on the coffee table in the suite room. I took the sheets off of the two queen beds and placed them on the floor. I had a similar issue with the sheets here. So, I slept in that filthy room for a night. I told them to come back in an hour-they never did. When I complained-for the third time, they did finally send someone up, but I had to take a shower and go out. Obviously this room had not been cleaned. The chair had pits and pieces of new clothes hangers and debris. Body hairs and dirt in the shower, hairs, crumbs, debris all over the floor in the suite. For lack of a better word, filthy describes it to a T.

Now let's talk about the suite that I was up graded to. So upon my return at 7:00 PM I had to ask numerous times before they did. In my first room, I literally removed the sheets from my bed and placed them on the floor after a few days to get housekeeping to change them. The worst part about my stay though had to be the housekeeping or lack thereof. There was a music festival in town, so the Bar stayed open until 2 with load music. I was upgraded after a few days with my Spire Elite status to a suite on the 7th floor facing the pool. I worked 14-hour days, 7 days a week in El Paso and to not be able to sleep was an issue. Not really sure how they determine the hours, but suffice it to say, when it is open you will not be able to sleep. The bar stays open until 11, 12, 1 or 2 in the morning.

Mu visit began on the 9th floor, facing the Pool Bar. I echo mrh726's comment that it is a Nightclub and not a hotel. I have to say its been one of the worst experiences I have had with an IHG property, or any hotel for that matter. I was in El Paso for business over the past two weeks staying at the Indigo Hotel.
